Sour cream is not just for baked potatoes anymore. Did you know that sour cream is a therapeutic remedy for a multitude of skin issues including wrinkles, age spots, fine lines, acne and hyper-pigmentation for all skin types? Sour cream, rich in lactic acid and fat, can improve skin texture, stimulate collagen production and nourish tired skin.
How, you ask? Well, sour cream is a form of fermented milk that contains lactic acid. Lactic acid is a type of alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that is used in various skincare products on the market today. In fact, it is one of the best natural exfoliants and age-fighting ingredients.
I have included my top 5 favorite facial mask recipes. When you use sour cream for facial masks you can use full-fat sour cream. Don’t worry you can’t gain weight from the fat in the sour cream through your pores.
