So, it is apparent that many people do not know what it means to get “Rick Rolled“. Every few months, my husband and I attempt to “Rick Roll” each other. He usually wins but, don’t tell him that. I even have a friend who I have (unsuccessfully, I might add) attempted to “Rick Roll” on many occasions. When I told coworkers about “Rick Rolling”, most of them had no idea what I was talking about.
Well, I am here to give you a lesson in “Rick Rolling”. “Rick Rolling” first began as an internet prank, but has since become an art form. The classic “rick roll” is just surprising a person with Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” video and/song when they are not expect it. “Why?”, you ask. Because it is funny and the song is so catchy that it sticks in your head all damn day long.
The best way to “rick roll” someone is to trick the recipient, through any method, into clicking a link that takes them to the song.
