The oil can create a calming or stimulating effect on the body. Many lotions contain essential oils for this purpose.
These homemade shower vapor disks are a great way to stimulate and heal right in the comfort of your shower. This is a simple recipe that is sure to be your “go to” home remedy this winter. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 c baking soda
- 1/3 c water
- Essential oils
- Muffin tin
- Foil muffin tin liners
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
2. Line muffin tin with foil liners
3. In a bowl, mix baking soda and water together forming a thick paste
4. Place 1 large teaspoon of the paste into the muffin tin
5. Bake for 15 minutes
6. Remove from oven and cool
7. Put a few drops of essential oil or essential oil blend on top of each disk
8. Fold down the top of the foil liner to seal each disk
9. Place in a cool, dry spot until ready to use
To use
Take 1 disk out of foil liner and place on the shower floor, turn on the water and lavish in the vapors while you shower
