Sorry for the late Music Monday post. I had the dreaded Jury Duty today. I was in the middle of Jury Duty when I realized that I had forgotten to post the song of the day. Unfortunately we were not allowed to have cell phones or computers in the courthouse so I had to write this the old fashioned way–with pen and paper.

Well, on to the Music Monday song of the day. This is one is such a fun song. Everyt ime that I hear it I am instantly transported back to when I was stationed down in Biloxi, Mississippi in the early ’00’s. I am sure that you have heard this song at some point in the past 13 years or so. This song was popular in 2000-2001. The song, “Faded“, is by the Canadian boy band soulDecision featuring the rapper Thrust. The band was active from 1993 to 2005, with “Faded” being their biggest hit.

It’s a shame this band is not still around. They made some amazing music incorporating soul, 1980s pop and hip hop. Not to mention, these guys are pretty cute (don’t tell my husband).
